About Pegasus
The mission of Pegasus Leadership Consultants, LLC is to provide the finest in leadership development, evaluation, and related consulting services. Dr. Janet Hagen is the President of Pegasus Leadership Consultants, and a nationally recognized evaluator. Additionally, Dr. Hagen is the creator of the groundbreaking Pegasus Approach. She is an active member of the community, serving on many committees and advisory boards. Her research agenda includes individual and community development, employment law, abstinence education, and leadership issues. She has published over 20 articles related to those topics. She is Professor and Chair of the Department of Human Services and Professional Leadership at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and a member of the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association.
Dr. Hagen's most recent article An Equine-Assisted Model of Leadership Development was published in the March 2007 issue of the John Ben Shepperd Journal of Practical Leadership.
Dr. Hagen frequently speaks about leadership issues to various organizations. She also conducts leadership development workshops and seminars. Her pre-scheduled seminars (see the Seminars page) are open to the public. She works with business and organizations to provide seminars for their management and employees. Her equine-assisted model of leadership development, the Pegasus Approach, is the basis for her seminars.
Dr Hagen has also worked with empowering issues for women (both professionally and personally), youth (through leadership day camps), and families (through parenting programs). Currently she is working with two communities to set up their own equine-assisted services for their youth.
Dr. Hagen and her husband have four children. She and her husband each helped out in their own family business so they are especially happy to have their own chilren participate in Pegasus as a family endeavor. Our horses - Joker and Mandy - are also an important part of Pegasus. The newest member of the Pegasus family is Princely - a 2 year old bay gelding currently undergoing training. All our horses and consultants put in many hours learning to be the best in the Pegasus Approach.
